On the 29th of June 2024, the vibrant heart of Flacq Coeur De Ville came alive with music, dance, and joy as the ICPMCSQC hosted its annual Music Day celebration. This year’s event was made even more special with the enthusiastic participation of all SEN schools in the East, including the Flacq Disabled Centre, which boasted the highest attendance of 81 people, comprising students, staff, parents, and siblings.
The event kicked off with a delightful breakfast, setting the tone for a day filled with camaraderie and celebration. Each school showcased two performances brimming with joy, fun, and rhythm. The Flacq Disabled Centre shone brightly on stage with their mesmerizing Bollywood dance to “Bum Bum Bhole” from the movie Taare Zameen Par, and an energetic Sega dance to “Belvedère.” The students’ dedication and passion were evident in their flawless performances, leaving the audience in awe.
Adding to the day’s excitement was the charismatic Ton Simon, who presented the whole event with a perfect blend of professionalism, humor, and entertainment. His engaging presence kept the audience entertained and the program running smoothly, making the celebration even more enjoyable.
The organizing committee, led by the remarkable Mr. Coco Teeluck, went above and beyond to ensure that the celebration was inclusive and enjoyable for everyone. They provided opportunities for non-participants to join in the fun, making it a truly inclusive event. In a gesture of appreciation and recognition, all participants received shields and t-shirts as gifts, adding a special touch to the event. The smiles on the faces of the recipients spoke volumes about the happiness and gratitude they felt.
The event concluded with a delicious lunch, bringing everyone together to share in the joy of the day’s celebrations.
