Bis Lamer at Flacq Disabled Centre

On the 22nd of August 2024, the Flacq Disabled Centre buzzed with excitement as the Bis Lamer from Reef Conservation made its much-anticipated visit. It was a day full of discovery, learning, and unforgettable moments for the students.

The Bis Lamer, an innovative mobile marine educational unit, arrived at the Centre looking pristine and well-maintained. With its vibrant exterior and engaging setup, it immediately caught the attention of students and staff alike.

Leading the event were three incredible members of the Reef Conservation team: Léa, Sahib, and Eugène. Their warmth and professionalism shone through from the start. Each of them was not only well-versed in marine life and environmental preservation but also showed a unique talent for making the information accessible and engaging for the students.

Mr. Eugène

As the day unfolded, the students, eager and wide-eyed, were introduced to fascinating aspects of the ocean and its delicate ecosystems. The hands-on experience inside the Bis Lamer provided them with a rare opportunity to see, touch, and learn about marine life in a way that classroom lessons could never fully capture. The staff made sure every student felt involved, asking questions, and interacting with the exhibits. Their kindness and patience were truly commendable.

For the students, this visit was more than just a fun day out. It was an inspiring and educational experience that connected them to the natural world and encouraged them to think about how they could be part of its protection. Huge credit goes to Léa, Sahib, and Eugène for their dedication and the energy they brought to the Centre.

This was truly a day that will be remembered for a long time by both students and staff at the Flacq Disabled Centre. We look forward to future collaborations with the wonderful team at Reef Conservation!
